HOW MANY CURIOSITY BOXES ARE THERE?
The Curiosity Box is a subscription service that sends out 4 (four) exclusive boxes per year, so their latest creations and inventions come on an entirely new box every three months, shipping directly to members once all the details are finalized.
Just keep in mind that depending on your sign-up date, it may take a few weeks for your first box to reach you, but it’ll get there.
WHAT AGE IS CURIOSITY BOX FOR?
The Curiosity Box subscription is specifically designed for teens and adults with a solid interest in science, but how I see it, it is also for those who aren’t necessarily extreme science enthusiasts or “geeky” but are curious by nature and appreciate learning new things and expanding their interests and horizons.
Even though focused on a fun and playful way to immerse yourself in science, it’s not intended for young children.
WHAT’S INSIDE THE CURIOSITY BOX?
The Curiosity Box offers a premium selection of innovative inventions and classic science toys, demonstrating concepts like angular momentum and optical illusions. Each box features STEAM-focused content, carefully curated with hands-on activities that merge Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, making learning fun and engaging.
Most importantly, each item is carefully developed by the creators of Vsauce, and this is what I love the most, but I’ll go more into this in the heading where I’ll be exploring whether the Curiosity Box is worth it or not.

- Oliver Byrne’s “The First Six Books of the ‘Elements of Euclid’ “: Curiosity Box’s specially-published edition of one of the greatest math books in history with clarifications and corrections added and with a new preface by Michael Stevens.
- Stickers inspired by diagrams from “The First Six Books of the ‘Elements of Euclid’ ” by Oliver Byrne. But also the whole fall 2024 box design is inspired by it.
- Uranus In a Black Hole: a T-shirt printed in a way that’s clearly explaining and portraying how if you could squish Uranus into a black hole, it would be that size.
- Curiosity Magazine, where I found information, instructions, and interesting facts about all of the items that got included in this limited edition of the Curiosity Box.

IS CURIOSITY BOX WORTH IT?
The Curiosity Box is a worthwhile choice for curious minds of all ages, offering a fun and educational experience that satisfies our innate desire to explore and learn. I’ll elaborate on this so that you can get a clear picture.
Firstly, when I received and opened the box with excitement and enthusiasm, as unboxing always makes me excited, I didn’t know what to look into first, since everything seemed so interesting and I could see that all the items were top quality, obviously exceeding the price tag of each box. (But I was most drawn to the Body Deck, because it looked so cool and engaging).
For example, the T-shirt was of high quality and very comfortable, not just done as a print on any kind of fabric, even though the content of the T-shirt is much more important, which means that the lesser quality could still do the work. Not to mention the book was a hardcover variant; it wasn’t just bought but specially published and additionally clarified by Vsause.
Naturally, this is less important than how much value the experience brings, but still, it was a very pleasant surprise to see how much effort and care has been put into this box that hasn’t weighted lightly.
Secondly, it was clear to me that the items weren’t just randomly put inside but carefully and thoughtfully chosen and organized, which gave the box a soul and a life of its own and created the experience! As opposed to having collected a bunch of material things.
I could see that attention was put into this creation, which gave it a special note considering that it didn’t look like one more industrial series devoid of individuality and uniqueness. This is a handcrafted approach.
It was noticeable that someone devoted enough time and care (put their heart) into inventing the edition, so it was clear why the boxes arrive quarterly and not monthly.
Additionally, it seems to me that this is also the smart way to go about it, since I feel like it’s much more exciting to wait for the next surprise box for some time and, in the meantime, have enough space to engage with the current limited edition.
This makes it worthwhile since you’re not collecting too much stuff you don’t know what to do with later.
Thirdly and most importantly, the items were boh educational, fun, and interesting, just like the Curiosity Box claims; they spark your curiosity and make you want to learn more about them.
For me, it’s worth the investment since I wouldn’t know where to start if I were to learn or explore some of these things myself, so these educational elements are especially worth it from my point of view.
This experience brings you back to the times where you were younger or a kid who knew how to (and could) get excited about exploring and discovering new things, which is pretty tough to replicate those days where all the things are way too available to us that nothing sparks our deep interest anymore.
So Curiosity Box was able to revoke these moments for me, which wasn’t an easy task, and I’m positive it can do the same for you if this is something that you cherish like I do.
Having said all of this, it’s apparent that Curiosity Box is worth it, especially if you’re a science enthusiast or someone with a curious mind and spirit, no matter if you’re an adolescent, adult, or even an older adult. All of us like to have fun and be educated at the same time because, as humans, we are wired to explore and expand our consciousness.
Unfortunately, some folks got discouraged along the way, as sometimes adults and the school system tend to destimulate exploration and make us focus solely on remembering the facts and gaining as much knowledge as possible.
But maybe it’s not too late to start nurturing our curiosity regardless?
